Yoga

Posture and breathing

When we think of yoga, we usually mean Hatha Yoga by that.

The word Hatha is a compound word: Ha means sun and tha means moon.

Hatha Yoga is about the balance of contrasts.

Hatha Yoga, which is commonly practices in the Western world, reflects the philosophy of a "healthy mind in a healthy body".

It is a universal yoga which takes both the respect for tradition and the individual personality into consideration.

It inspired by the teachings of the Indian master Krishnamacharya, who gave key importance to the respect for the individual and for the culture.

Hatha Yoga is a yoga of the effort.

It is a personal approach based on everyone's own experiences, but under the guidance of a teacher.

• There is ample space for postures and breath control.

• It focuses on experimenting

German conversation

German conversation

We meet every two weeks in an informal environment just like good old friends for a coffee and chat in German. Topics: experiences in life, dreams, work, the world around us, and everything else that comes up and we might find interesting. Of course participants will influence the topics with their ideas.

During our conversations we also expand our vocabulary, discuss grammar matters and learn about different ways of speaking. In order to participate, an A2 German level would be desired. Other than that, any knowledge levels are more than welcome, even those native Swiss German speakers who mainly speak a local dialect here, have the opportunity to perfect and polish their high German.

Where does it take place?
In the 'Unternehmen Mitte' (www.mitte.ch) just opposite of main post office between Barfüsser- and Marktplatz, at the back of the lounge.

When?

Every second Monday at 18.15 PM (except school Holidays & official holidays)
